Trader Joe’s Peanut Butter Recalled for Salmonella Risk

I would like to share an important announcement, while surfing the net for online audio books, i noticed the trending topic above the website. A peanut butter in US is being recalled because of potential salmonella contamination.

Preliminary results from an ongoing joint investigation between Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) indicate that Trader Joe’s Valencia Creamy Salted Peanut Butter made with Sea Salt is a likely source of this outbreak.

It has been reported that four people have been hospitalized out of 29 ill persons infected with the outbreak strain of Salmonella Bredeney in 18 states.

So if you purchased Creamy Salted Valencia Peanut Butter do not eat it.  The Monrovia-based company said in a prepared statement, “We encourage you to return the product to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund or dispose of it.”
